Watching a cricket match has never been more fun! I can hardly wait nowadays to get to see the distended cornucopia of sponsors that every broadcaster gets. Who wants to watch a contest between bat and ball anyway? I’d rather watch the wonderful advertisements that are on display. (more…)

The Test series is all set to begin, and both India and Pakistan seem to be struggling to find the best bowling combination to go with for the match. A hallmark of a good test side is a good bowling attack: one that is capable of picking 20 wickets every match. THE FIH (Fédération Internationale de Hockey sur Gazon, or International Hockey Federation) and the IHF (Indian Hockey Federation) are at loggerheads. The reason being that the International Federation wants to see Indian hockey back to its glorious days. But a section of Indian bureaucracy and officials refuses to budge. (more…)
